What size cakes do you offer?
Sweet Elise offers 2 cake sizes. Our Large cake is baked in a 10" (12-cup) Bundt pan. A Small Sweet Elise cake is baked in an 8" (6-cup) Bundt pan.

How many servings can I get from each cake?
On average our small European Pound Cake serves 4-8. It's perfect for a couple or small family. Our large European Pound Cake serves 10-14. It's perfect for a family or small office. Keep in mind leftovers can be frozen, so it's often more economical to purchase a large. Our heart-shaped European Pound Cake serves 8-10. And our Present Style Cakes serve 8-12.

Can Sweet Elise Cakes be stored in the freezer?
Yes. You can easily keep a Sweet Elise cake for up to 3 months in the freezer. We include storing instructions with every cake order. But in short, when freezing, be sure to wrap your cake tightly to prevent freezer burn or from other food flavors/smells sneaking into your treasured cake. In addition, your Pound Cake will stay fresh 7-10 days and your Present Style Cake will keep for up to 7 days. Both should be stored at room temperature in an airtight container, not in the refrigerator.

Do any of your products contain nuts?
Some do, some do not. However, our cakes are baked in a facility where nut products might be stored. Likewise with our truffles.

We agree. Our dessert toppings are extraordinary. We feature Robert Rothschild. They have won many culinary awards. You may order as many jars as you'd like. Because of the added weight, additional shipping fees will apply. Buon Appetito!

Yes. Sweet Elise will work with you individually when you're placing large orders.

Can I ask for specific flowers and/or colors?
Sweet Elise flowers are arranged by a professional floral designer using only the highest quality flowers. With enough notice we can customize almost any package for you. Custom orders may incur an additional fee.

Where can I ship a Sweet Elise package?
Sweet Elise ships to any home or office in the United States. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or any kind of military base. Please order by phone when shipping to Alaska and Hawaii, as extra fees may apply. Please be sure to provide us with all necessary address/shipping information including office, suite or apartment number. Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for delayed packages if we are not provided with all necessary address/shipping information.

A Note to Our Valued Customers. For the past several years we have absorbed a continued increase in shipping rates imposed on virtually every business in the country by the major carriers. And in fairness to the carriers, their rates have increased only due to the rapidly rising fuel costs. At this time, we find we can no longer absorb these costs and find ourselves in the regrettable position of having to raise our own shipping rates. Be assured that we will always keep our shipping prices as low as possible. And that our volume discounts are always passed along to you. (Your savings on overnight packages is 40-60% off regular Fed Ex prices!) Also keep in mind, packages containing dishware are heavy, ranging from 10-30 pounds. Packages containing fresh flowers must be shipped overnight.

EXTRA FEES- Please note your delivery may be subject to additional fees that may not show up on your invoice. Why aren't these fees automatically added to your invoice? We don't charge you for them, unless FedEx charges us for them.

"Signature required upon delivery": FedEx charges an extra fee for packages that require a signature. This fee ($2.75) will be charged to your credit card even though it may not show up on your receipt/invoice.

Residential delivery: $2.35 Why does FedEx charge an extra fee to deliver your package to a residence, rather than a business? We wondered the same, so we checked and there are multiple reasons. First, the major delivery carriers base their rates on percentages; most of their deliveries are being made to businesses. Businesses are generally centrally located and make for quick and easy drop offs. Not only does this mean less time, it means less fuel, manpower, etc. A residential delivery takes the driver off the regular beaten path, to an area he/she may not be familiar with. This takes extra time, fuel and therefore additional drivers.

Rural Route Fee: $1.50 For some remote locations, this fee is charged by FedEx in addition to a residential fee, for the same reasons above, only compounded.

Morning delivery: Unless otherwise noted, our packages are delivered standard overnight, which means anytime before 5:00 p.m. If you request a morning delivery (anytime up until noon) there is an additional fee of $8.00.

Address correction: $12.50. You must supply us with a correct and complete address. This includes Suite, Floor, Apartment number, business name, correct zip code and whether the street address is formally called "Lane, "Drive", "Blvd.", "Way", etc. If an address correction is needed, we will be forced to charge you the $12.50 "Address Correction Fee" imposed on us by the carriers. In addition, your order is likely to be late. In this instance we cannot guarantee the contents will be fresh. The address you supply us must be complete and correct.

Once you place your order online, you will be emailed a copy of your invoice. Be sure to add sweetelise.com to your email program's list of acceptable addresses so that your invoice won't end up in your junk mail folder or rejected all together. We will ship according to the information you provided us during checkout, so it is vital you receive AND proof your invoice thoroughly to make certain everything is correct. Contact us immediately if you find an error. As long as FedEx has not picked up your order, we can make the correction at no additional cost.

Saturday delivery: $15.00. Friday (for a Saturday delivery) is not a normal shipping day for us. However, if you need a Saturday delivery, call us. We will always do our best to accommodate you. FedEx charges an additional $12.50 for a Saturday delivery. In addition, we charge an extra $2.50 to help cover our expenses in having an employee here to ship your package on a day we would normally be closed for shipping.

Please note: While the above "extra" fees from FedEx may seem extreme, EVERY major carrier charges them. We find FedEx's fees to be comparable, if not lower. And we find their service to be superior.

Reminder-We only charge you additional fees if FedEx charges us for them.

OUR FRESH FLOWER GUARANTEE-PLEASE READ, VERY IMPORTANT:

It is imperative that you notify the recipient that you are sending them a very special gift that must be opened the day of it's scheduled delivery. For ease of delivery, it's best not to request your package be signed for at the time of delivery. Here's why. In order to acquire the signature, your recipient must be home. If your recipient has gone out for a quick errand, etc., FedEx will have to make a second delivery attempt. At the very earliest this will be the following (business) day. In this instance, we cannot guarantee the flowers will be fresh. (Please note: FedEx charges $2.75 for each signature attempt. See explanation of Extra Fees above.)

Please feel confident knowing we use only the highest quality flowers and guarantee their freshness as long as someone is there to receive and open the package on its scheduled day of delivery.

By in large, our packages are being delivered to residential neighborhoods and/or businesses, where it is safe to leave a package. However, it is still your responsibility to notify your recipient that their gift must be opened the day of its scheduled delivery. If you are unsure whether your recipient will be able to open your package the same day as it's delivered, please check the "silk flowers" box. A package containing silk flowers is still considered fragile, so overnight-shipping charges will apply. Our silk flower arrangements are equally beautiful! Plus they last for forever!

LIABILITY

We're sure you understand that once your package leaves our hands and is accepted by the carrier, we are no longer held liable for damages caused by delivery delays due to weather, acts of god, etc.

We will always take responsibility when we make a mistake, but we cannot control severe weather conditions anywhere along the route your package may travel. Nor are we responsible for mistakes made by the carrier. With that said, we will assist you in any way possible to help you satisfy a reasonable claim with a carrier. If a mistake was made by the carrier, they will reimburse you according to their policies, which we have always found to be reasonable and fair.

Are you having your package delivered to a business? Many times, larger businesses have a central mailroom. Most likely, this is where your package will be delivered even if you specified a floor or suite number. This is a policy mandated by the business and cannot be altered by us or the carrier. It is your responsibility to notify the recipient that they are about to receive a very special package and they should let their mailroom know that they are expecting a "Perishable" package.

Return Policy

At Sweet Elise, we know that having you as a happy, satisfied customer is what will keep you coming back...and we hope that is what will remind you to refer us to others. If you, the purchaser, are not satisfied, please call or email us within 5 business days. We will work with you to make it right by either replacing the portion of the package that was unsatisfactory or by issuing you a refund for that portion of the package. For your convenience, we list the dimensions, serving size and notification of nuts in our products. Therefore, we cannot issue refunds if you realize AFTER your package arrives that it is too small, too large, contains nuts, etc. (Please assume all truffle products have either been prepared near nuts or contain them.)

Damage claims: FedEx requires that all Sweet Elise packaging and it's contents be saved until a claim is satisfied. If anything was damaged during shipping, please call us within 2 (business) days of delivery.

What if I need to make a change to my order?
Most changes are easy to make. All we ask is 2 (business) days notice. Last minute changes cannot always be accommodated. However, we will bend over backwards to try to make it happen for you.
